Among the scholarships and awards given to members of the NYIB Network are:

| Robert L. Curry Scholarship | |
| This scholarship is awarded to one league liaison or state delegate within the NYIB Network. The scholarship covers lodging and registration for the 2012 NYIB Annual Conference. Recipient will be notified no later than March 16, 2012. | |
| Regional Scholarships | |
| Three scholarships cover registration to the 2012 NYIB Annual Conference. The NYIB regions are divided into West, Central and East for the scholarships. Recipients will be notified no later than March 16, 2012. | |
| “Serving the Underserved” Scholarship | |
| One scholarship will be awarded to cover registration to the 2012 NYIB Annual Conference. The scholarship will be awarded to an individual working with a low income designated credit union or one that focuses on serving an underserved market. Recipient will be notified no later than March 16, 2012. | |
| Development Education (DE) Training Scholarship | |
| Up to two NYIB scholarships may be awarded annually to persons in the NYIB Network to attend the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) Training. Visit www.ncuf.coop to find out more about the Foundation’s CUDE program. The scholarship covers registration fees. Travel costs are not included. | |
| WOCCU Young Credit Union People Program (WYCUP) Scholarship | |
| One scholarship may be awarded annually to an NYIB Network member to serve as NYIB designee for the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) Young Credit Union People Program (WYCUP). The 2012 scholarship covers registration only for WOCCU’s 2012 World Credit Union Conference in Gdansk, Poland. Travel costs are not included. NYIB’s scholarship designee is then eligible for the WYCUP Scholarship to attend WOCCU’s 2012 World Credit Union Conference. Visit www.woccu.org for more details on the conference and WYCUP. | |
| Top Classroom Presenter Scholarships | |
| Annually, the NYIB Network members who are leading classroom presenters may be recognized with a scholarship covering registration to the current year’s NYIB Annual Conference. Travel expenses are not included. One scholarship may be awarded to the individual with the highest percentage increase in the annual number of students reached, and a second scholarship to the individual with the highest percentage increase in the annual number of presentations conducted.These scholarships do not require an application. Instead, they are based on the final NYIB classroom presentation report for the preceding school year (for 2011, the 2011-2012 school years). To support a fair opportunity among presenters and encourage additional NYIB Annual Conference attendance, recipients of these awards will only receive a scholarship once. | |

| This award recognizes the outstanding efforts made by a state delegate within the NYIB Network. The recipient will be named at the 2012 Awards Event during the Annual Conference in New Orleans, LA. | |

| This award recognizes the outstanding efforts made by someone other than a state delegate within the NYIB Network.The recipient will be named at the 2012 Awards Event during the Annual Conference in New Orleans, LA. | |
| NYIB Advocate Award | |
| This award recognizes an individual’s continued dedication to the National Youth Involvement Board, both as a true advocate of the organization and as an active member of the network committed to nationwide youth-related efforts. One individual may receive the award annually at the discretion of the NYIB Executive Committee. If so, the recipient will be named at the 2012 Awards Event during the Annual Conference in New Orleans, LA. | |
Additional Information
All scholarship applications and Outstanding Award nominations should be submitted to Janice Quigg of the NYIB Executive Committee, along with a high quality digital picture for publication (300+ resolution), no later than January 31, 2012 February 10, 2012.
Scholarship recipients must attend all sessions at the NYIB Annual Conference, then submit a synopsis of information gained by attending and how he or she will use it in the future. The completed synopsis should be delivered to the NYIB Executive Committee and the National Credit Union Foundation within three months of receiving the applicable scholarship.
All scholarship recipients will be notified by March 16, 2012 to allow ample time to register and make reasonable lodging and travel arrangements.
